2025 Gift Guide
Hello!
Please enjoy my gift guide for 2025. This is really just a list of what I want for myself. I included a few things from my brand that I wear heavily in my rotation and am planning to gift family.
Isotoner Slippers - I have the ones that look like ballet pink satin slippers. I believe these were the ones that I found in Macys when I was little and made my mom buy them for me so I could pretend I was a ballerina at home. I love slipping these on right after I shower so my precious feet stay clean and cozy before bedtime.
Sabre Cutlery - I have an obsession with cutlery, and it’s only grown ever since having Rainer. My favorite thing in the world is feeding him and seeing him eat well. I love knowing that I spent so much money and time thinking about the little fork or spoon he is using, only to see him throw them across the room. It’s so precious. PS - the David Mellor kids set spoon is the BEST spoon for feeding Rainer. It' just has the perfect shape and doesn’t spill as much as the others.
The perfect chopsticks - I first found these on my honeymoon in Tokyo and regret not taking a picture of the original packaging! They are lightweight, beautiful, sharp (for aiming rice into a toddler’s moving mouth), and simple in design. I haven’t been able to source the original ones I got, but these are a close second! I bought these recently for my new house.
My Subus - I love that us doing a Subu has become an annual tradition. Each year you can expect the same level of quality and comfort, but with a special limited edition print or design update. I think they’re so good for gifting because the sizing isn’t fussy and you’re basically giving the gift of coziness.
My Long Johns - On colder days, and even not colder days, I like to wear these under skirts. I cannot ever ever let my knees get cold because ever since giving birth they will ache when they’re cold! I love my Chinese aunties for teaching me all these crazy things I have to do now that I am a mom. Anyway, the long johns came about when I was talking to Dean about the FW25 collection inspiration and we had this fantasy story (Imagine we are in the movie The Snowman - not the scary one) of a little kid realizing it’s snowing outside so they throw on their parent’s clothes and run outside. Just think cozy mismatched layers of clothes over your thermal PJs. Also, they make me feel like I’m one of the kids in Home Alone.
Switch 2 - This was my Christmas gift to Dorian this year. Long story short, he got to open it early and we look forward to Rainer’s bedtime extra so we can whip this out and play Mario Party.
Scrapbook - If you know me you know I am OBSESSED with memory keeping in all shapes and sizes. I started scrapbooking after my wedding and realized that it was soothing for me to keep those memories protected in a visually pleasing way - the same way it is soothing for me to safeguard my childhood objects. Aside from the scrapbook I made myself, I also made mini versions for my sister, cousin, and best friend. (This is why I have to go to Japan at least once a year to get my annual intake of washi tape and stickers) Anyway, I plan to make one mini scrap/photo-book a year for Rainer so when he’s an adult he can tell me that I’m not okay and he has nowhere to store these. ANYWAY, I think making a mini scrapbook or photobook for someone you care a lot about is a very good idea - especially in a world where everything is just stored on our phones.
A Bird Feeder - Full-disclosure I am trying very hard to be a birder. I’ve gone on a birding walk in Central Park before, but since then I haven’t done any “official” birding - until we moved into our new house! We already have a normal bird feeder (the squirrel-proof kind) but I am DYING for one that has a camera and identifying feature. My new favorite thing to do at our house, aside from planting bulbs when it’s way too late in the season, is to sit with a matcha and stare at the birds. I’ve been keeping a journal of all the birds we’ve seen so far.
Dahlia tubers for next year - I’ve been following Martha Stewart’s blog IG account to try and find out where she sources her tubers. It seems like she gets Dahlias from Bear Creek Farms and so obviously I’ve signed up for their newsletter to be alerted when tubers will go on sale for next year! I’ve screenshotted all the ones I plan to get. Enjoy!
Also here are some Chrysanthemums I hope to gift myself in the new year. I really need to start reading up on how to actually take care of them!

We leased a spot upstate NY that had that EXACT bird feeder and we can green light that that is the only bird feeder the small mammals can't get into and it's fantastic to see the birds as spring comes. We loved it 100/10
